Qiyās al-Awlā: A Foundational and Applied Study Based on the Book of Injuries in Al-Mughnī by Ibn Qudāmah al-Maqdisī

Abstract

This research presents a foundational study of Al-Qiyās al-Awwal (The Preponderant Analogy), applied to the "Book of Judicial Rulings" (Kitāb al-Jirāḥ) in Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisī's *Al-Mughnī*. The study begins with an Introduction outlining the research's significance, selection rationale, problem statement, challenges, scope, objectives, previous scholarship, original contributions, methodology, and structure. Subsequently, a First Section examines the conceptual framework of qiyās (legal analogy), followed by a Second Section detailing the applied study on Ibn Qudamah's judicial rulings. The work concludes with key findings.
